Byron Bay has beautiful scenery everywhere you look, beautiful beaches, beautiful bay and ocean, beautiful hinterland. Top that off with a sub-tropical climate and it's no wonder it's a popular wedding spot.
When’s a good time to get
married in Byron Bay?
Anytime is good for the weather really, so it really depends on what you want. The hottest months are December to March but
this can also bring more average rainfall. Click here for a look at Byron Bay’s
average climate and rainfall. Summer time and Easter also tend to be the busiest times for tourists.

Bare in mind that if you
want to get married at a busy time of year – which is usually the summer period
(Christmas & New Year especially) or on a Saturday, then the more time you
plan ahead for your wedding the better. Because of it’s beauty Byron Bay
is very popular for weddings so it’s important to book your wedding venue,
accommodation , marriage celebrant , wedding caterer and wedding entertainment as early as possible. If you are
expecting to have a large wedding party or get married in summer or over Easter
especially, then try to book a year in advance if possible.
Finding the right marriage celebrant
Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. Choosing
the right marriage celebrant will make sure your day is a memorable one.
Your Marriage Celebrant will guide you through the proper legal paper work requirements but do note that you must lodge the document "Notice of Intendended Marriage" to your Marriage Celebrant no later than one month and one day prior to your wedding day - but the earlier the better. Click here for a link to the Attorney General site on legal requirements and to download the Notice of Intended Marriage form. You will need original birth certificates and evidence that any prior marriage has been dissolved by either death or divorce. See our business directory for Marriage Celebrants.
